Beau Desert Golf Club

Ladies Spring Open AM AM Rules

FORMAT: 18 Hole Stableford
SCORING: Best 2 scores count on each hole.
TEE MARKERS: Red
HANDICAP INDEX: Maximum 29.4
HANDICAP ALLOWANCE: 85%
ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must have and be able to produce an England Golf Membership ID and be a current member of a Golf Club. IGolf Handicap holders can play but are not eligible for prize money or titles.
TIES: Decide on Count Back.
COMPETITION FINAL: A Stroke Play Competition becomes final when competition is “Finalised”.
PREFERED LIES: A player may prefer their lie in the General Area cut to fairway height or less not nearer the hole, within 6" or where the ball lay (reference point)
USE OF WINTER MATS: When a player’s ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less and a putter is not being used for the stroke, the ball may be lifted, placed on and played from an Astroturf, or similar type of, mat. The mat must be placed as near as possible to where the ball originally lay,
and the ball must be placed on the mat. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.
If a ball when placed rolls off the mat, the player must try to place it a second time. If the ball again
does not stay on the mat, the mat must be moved to the nearest spot, not nearer the hole, where
the ball will come to rest on the mat when placed. If the player accidentally causes the ball on the mat to move before a stroke is made, there is no penalty and the ball must be placed again on the mat.
If a tee is used to secure the mat into the ground, the ball must not be placed on the tee.’
The purpose of this decision is to help promote Qualifying Competitions whenever possible during
the preferred lie period.
BAD WEATHER: When there has been a course closure and there is no prospect of resumption of play, if 50% or over of the field have submitted a scorecard, the competition stands, players who have not completed 18 holes will be refunded.
The number and value of prizes may be reduced, dependent upon the percentage of completed rounds and number of entries. This will be determined by the ladies committee, normally within 2 days of the event.
